VOLUNTEERS
PARENT TUTOR PROGRAM
We have a before-school parent/tutor program which runs from 8.00-8.30am on Friday morning and is voluntary to any student who wants "one-to-one" assistance with any aspects of their school work. Individual programs are developed and students work through these with volunteer parent assistants.
Any parent or community member who could volunteer some time for the parent/tutor program or act as a reader/scribe assisting students during formal exams and assessment tasks would be greatly appreciated. As many of our regular readers/scribes have children in senior years, we need to update our list of volunteer parents for future exams. Major exams – HSC, Trials, Year 11 yearly exams and Year 10 School Certificate exams take place during August, September and October each year. If you are interested in assisting our Special Provisions students you would need to be available for short periods of time during these exam periods.
Interested parents can contact Mrs M Kenehan for more details – Learning Support Staffroom on 9521 2099.
The Special Provisions students and staff from Kirrawee High School would like to sincerely thank our wonderful parent volunteers for their time and dedication as writers and/or readers for major exams during the last few years. Our students benefit enormously from this extremely worthwhile service, which we can only offer through our volunteers’ support.
