SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY
Kirrawee High enjoys a close and highly supportive working
relationship with its community.
We have an active School Council which has initiated and
provided leadership and resources in careers education programs
in addition to performing its school governance role. The
P&C Association assists with fund raising projects, uniform
shop and the organisation of various social activities and
also provides a forum through which school staff and others
can present topics of interest relevant to the school and
its students at the monthly meetings.
BATES DRIVE SOCIALISATION PROGRAM
Since 1997, students in Years 9 and 10 have donated their
sports afternoon to participate in a socialisation program
with students from Bates Drive Special School. Each Tuesday,
students meet to have lunch together and then an activity.
In the past, Kirrawee High students have been invited to participate
in special events like the annual Bates Drive Walk-a-thon
and the Graduation Assembly. This has been recognised as an
invaluable community program for all of the students participating.
